Application Tester/ System Tester role that is on-site at the Kuala Lumpur area. The Application Tester will be responsible for the day-to-day testing of web applications, software applications. Their responsibilities will include testing applications, creating test cases, and utilizing analytical skills.

To be successful as an application tester, you should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and a good understanding of web and software development and testing tools and methodologies. You should also have experience in test planning, test scripting, performance testing, security testing, and functional testing using app mantis and GitLab.

Application Tester Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze application requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test scenarios and test cases
• Create and maintain test scripts using app mantis and GitLab
• Execute manual and automated tests on different browsers, devices, and environments
• Monitor and measure application performance using various tools and metrics
• Identify, document, and report any bugs, errors, or security issues
• Perform regression testing and verify bug fixes
• Provide feedback and suggestions for application improvement
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in web and software testing

Application Tester Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as an application tester or a similar role
• knowledge of programming language such as PHP, Java and familiarity with Laravel framework
• Experience in test planning, test scripting, performance testing, security testing, and functional testing using mantis and GitLab
• Knowledge of web and software development and testing tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and quality orientation
