The Full Stack Developer Lead will be a key member of Digital team. (This position is open for Malaysian nationality only)

The incumbent will be leading the overall application design and mapping business requirements to systems/technical design.

Job Responsibility

1. Provide consulting and guidance to the team during project lifecycles to ensure architectural consistency, technical feasibility, and alignment with company architecture standards.
2. Analyse system requirements to ensure seamless, secure integration with existing applications and infrastructure, maintaining performance, scalability, and data integrity.
3. Engage proactively with stakeholders to gather business needs and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirements that support organizational objectives.
4. Continuously explore emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their applicability to enhance current solutions and maintain a competitive technological edge.
5. Assess project risks and constraints, recommending alternative solutions or approaches to mitigate risk while optimizing efficiency and enabling process re-engineering where necessary.
6. Responsible for development, design and solution for Products development related projects and monitor the effort of the application development against the plan.
7. Manage resource allocation to ensure work are optimally assigned according to team member’s skills and expertise so that assigned task can be completed on time with high quality.
8. Analyse root cause, assess impact, and provide solution and recovery including program fixes and data correction. Provide data extraction and query reporting services.
9. Analysing penetration test report, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing necessary patches, configuration changes, or system updates to ensure our environment is secure and compliant.

Job Specification

Minimum five (5) years in applications development or related

Knowledge of core insurance system, various front-end peripheral systems and their integrations not limiting to API, digital business systems

Essential Skills:

Frontend: Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, ReactJs, Gatsby NextJs

Backend: Node Js

Database: Mysql

Knowledge of the following is an advantage:

NGINX – Web Server

CI/CD pipelines – Gitlab CI

Frontend and backend applications knowledge

Knowledge in insurance is preferred

High adaptability and able to work collaboratively with the team that is avid about disrupting traditional industry

Solution designing, critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, system and business knowledge.
