About The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned engineering manager focused on backend development to join our engineering team in an effort to transform the organization from the inside-out. You’ll be responsible for designing backend services as well as integrating with existing ones while demonstrating best practices through the use of cutting edge technologies.

About The Job

• Proven track record in software development.
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to articulate and explain technical aspects to none-tech-savvies.
• Be kept up-to-date with latest software development trends and best practices while building reusable components and code libraries.
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate, train, mentor, manage and lead engineers.
• Minimum of 12 years working experience in developing software systems and applications, systems integration, distributed systems and cloud based applications.
• Understanding of software design patterns such as SOLID design principles and maintaining clean quality code.
• Experience in the entire software life cycle (SDLC) with a focus on development and deployment.
• Ability to gather requirements and present and articulate proposed solutions to meet the organization’s needs.
• In-depth understanding of monolith, microservices and cloud application development.
• In-depth hands-on experience in at least one server-side programming language such as Java, GoLang, Python and NodeJS etc.
• Hands-on experience in at least one framework such as Spring, Django, Go-Chi, NestJS of others.
• Understanding of frontend development (Web & Mobile) and frontend-to-backend integration, as well as best practices.
• Must have strong AWS experience.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues and prepare incidents reports.
