We're looking for a talented software developer with strong expertise in React.js and JavaScript along with hands-on experience in building GIS/ geospatial web applications.
Responsibilities
- Integrate drone and satellite imaging data, as well as analytics, into the web application for geospatial insights and visualization.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable GIS applications and tools to support geospatial analysis.
- Debug, test, and troubleshoot software applications to ensure they are error-free and meet the client's requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineers, AI Engineers, project managers) to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software.
- Create comprehensive software documentation, including user guides and API documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, preferably with prior experience in developing GIS project deliverables.
- Strong proficiency in web development technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Proficiency with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Python,).
- Hands-on experience with GIS tools and frameworks (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Leaflet, Mapbox,).
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
Preferred / Good to Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Cesium / three.js for 3D models visualization, and data integration.
- Familiar with web mapping services and libraries (e.g., GeoServer, MapServer, PostGIS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and large-scale GIS data processing.
