About the Role:

As a Staff Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing the backend architecture for our systems. You will be a key technical leader, driving the development of robust, scalable, and efficient backend services. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and high-performance delivery of our products. You will also champion best practices in API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions, while continuously identifying opportunities for performance optimization and security enhancement.

Responsibilities :

• Lead backend development initiatives to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the system.
• Design and implement robust APIs to support frontend applications and other system components.
• Oversee database management, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of a microservices architecture for a scalable and modular backend.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
• Optimize system performance to enhance the efficiency and scalability of backend infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect data and comply with industry standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment processes.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Node.js , C# and .NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Expertise in microservices architecture and designing modular backend systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, particularly AWS.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using Entity Framework Core and other ORMs.
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
• Experience in integrating with queue and streaming messaging services (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Competence with unit testing tools (e.g., NUnit, MSTest, Mocha, Chai).
• Proven experience in identifying and implementing performance optimizations.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and software architecture principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
