Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Portal Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and enhancing user-friendly, visually appealing, and highly functional web portals that serve both internal users and external customers. This role blends design aesthetics with usability, requiring a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and portal architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop intuitive, attractive, and user-centered web portal interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mockups using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Implement responsive and accessible designs across multiple devices and browsers.
- Maintain consistency with branding guidelines and ensure portal usability aligns with business goals.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine user experiences.
- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, UI/UX design standards, and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in designing web portals or web applications.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and familiarity with JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with CMS platforms, web frameworks, or portal platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Liferay, WordPress, etc.).
- Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise-level portal solutions.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) is a bonus.
- Basic understanding of backend technologies or REST APIs.
- Portfolio of past work showcasing user-centered design and interactive web portals.
